If you want a movie that encapsulates love, emotion, laughter, sadness then this is the perfect movie. I have to say this is the only movie that has me busting with laughter and also cry like a baby. This korean movie is a piece of art.
2) Barry Lyndon 1975
IMDb rating - 8.1
Director - Stanley Kubrick
Cinematographically, this is a perfect movie. Director Kubrik has worked on very small detail that makes this movie a joy to watch. The story build up of this movie captivates you continuously.
3) My Neighbor Totoro 1988
IMDb rating - 8.1
Director - Hayao Miyazaki
This is a genuinely feel good movie. We all know Studio Ghibi and Miyazaki don't disappoint us with their work but still this movie is so fun to watch. I always have a grin in my face when I see Totoro.
4) North by Northwest 1959
IMDb rating - 8.3
Director - Alfred Hitchcock
This movie gives you the perfect Alfred Hitchcock's taste. A fantastic story with great acting. This movie is very enjoyable.
5) The seventh seal 1957
IMDb rating- 8.1
Director - Ingmar Bergman
'Playing chess with death'. Bergman is known for his unorthodox and kind of perplexing story and this movie is a good example of it. I feel this movie is a bit religious but definitely enjoyable with a strong message at the end.
6) There will be blood 2007
IMDb rating - 8.2
Director - Paul Thomas Anderson
Paul Thomas Anderson's 2007 work is a fantastic work. This movie is very enjoyable to watch. As you progress through the movie you will keep dwelling in the brilliance of the acting of the protagonist.
